It is easy to get down about the world, especially given our current global climate. However, there is so much that is bright, wonderful and colorful in the world, if we choose to see it that way. We can choose happier thoughts when we are feeling low. Happy thoughts help uplift our mood and they are always within reach.
My own happy thoughts:
The brilliant fall leaves were amazing this year. Soak up the glorious smell of pumpkin pies and pumpkin bread baked in the fall. Bright orange pumpkins resting happily on porches – apple picking season! The sun shines brightly. Birds’ songs are poetry in motion. Children’s laughter makes me smile and fills my heart with joy. These things all bring me happiness and make me walk with joy in my heart.
I am looking forward to the season’s first real snowfall – that magical time of year when the first flakes fall for the first time, blanketing the earth with their pure snow white beauty.
And now it’s the festive holiday season! This year will be joyful like never before because of my new attitude and outlook on life. Christmas is here – bright Christmas lights, reindeer, children’s delight and Santa Claus – all joyful things that bring feelings of happiness.
The New Year is approaching, representing a brand new beginning full of renewed hope and optimism for a spectacular year ahead full of promise. Then wonderful Valentines Day is right around the corner – the day of love. This next year will be one like no other because my heart is full of gratitude for all the wonderful blessings and gifts I have received. I will give love like I’ve never given before to all those around me, strangers and friends alike. When we share our love and give to others, we feel happier and more joyful. It feels good.
Spectacular Spring and Summer will arrive, when the earth is renewed. Flowers blossom and bloom, and the warm sunshine brings happiness. It’s vacation time! Pack your bags!
The world is alive, full of magic and brilliant! There is so much to look forward to, if we choose to see life in this way. Every single day we can look for things in our lives and around us to appreciate and look forward to. There is always a happy thought within reach.
So think happy thoughts, focus on all that is wonderful, amazing and delightful in your life and on this most spectacular, awesome planet and you will feel happier!
